Dancing to the beat of the bongo
Bridgette shapes her platinum afro
Dreams of being lost in the Congo
Instead of working topless a go go
Working girls get lost in the shadows
Sitting at the bar with chafed elbows
Lying when the boys ask where they go
Sighing there's no place like home

She goes down to the hotel for women
Clean sheets and color TV
Life is a factory
Grinding out misery
Living anonymously
